Abstract : 

Data has always been used to inform decisions. However, it's now starting to play a more direct role in the decision-making process. As predictive models improve and automation becomes more common, many organizational decisions will likely begin with algorithmic recommendations that humans then review.  This webinar investigates the implications of this transformation for data professionals. It examines the subtle ways in which pipelines, governance decisions, model architecture, and data quality influence practical choices, often before they reach the attention of leadership. Furthermore, we will address the enduring significance of human judgment, the propagation of bias within technical systems, and the prerequisites for constructing trustworthy decision-making processes.
